If you buy a vehicle like a car or a motorbike, you don’t expect a custom-made vehicle, instead you’re given a choice of well engineered and designed vehicles that have taken years to develop. Nevertheless, websites seem to be a different affair completely. Many enterprises assume that their site will be designed to their rigorous stipulations. This is absolutely reasonable, and in many business plans it’s utterly essential.

And even so – is that genuinely the best way to go about things for all situations? Ask yourself this : how can I sell stuff online? Look at content managed websites as an example : feature-rich websites, with strict security requirements, a backoffice area so the site proprietor can update the content. All of this, while requiring the front-end to be effortless to browse and buy items for shoppers. Responding to all those needs is no light chore, and if one thing goes wrong, you’re going back to the web designer to request support. Bespoke websites in this context carry a large burden.

Nonetheless, there’s an alternative to this method which is much more cost-effective, potentially gives you a lot more facilities, and gives more reliability, stability and security – the website template.

People acknowledge these days that tailor-made websites oftentimes aren’t essential and that in plenty of cases, it’s better to alter your business plan even ever-so slightly so they match a robust, proven web template than to gamble with a custom web design to fit your goals. But why is this? Due to the demands a contemporary website asks for. You want a secure, well-tested codebase that powers your site, not freshly written code that hasn’t had the benefit of months and years of real-life testing. Not just that, but templates ordinarily come with free updates, so your site is tracking all the contemporary advancements on the internet showing your latest tweets online.

Maybe most compellingly, website templates are far more cost-effective than custom sites. Why would you drop £8000 on a site if you can obtain one with more features for just £200, as an example?

These issues should make you think twice about your online business plan and whether to prefer a custom-made website or a templated site.

We buy many products off-the-peg and don’t expect them to be tailor-made to fit our requirements. Nevertheless, when it comes to websites it seems to be different. Most enterprises assume that their site will be designed to their strict stipulations. This is absolutely reasonable of course, and in many cases it’s utterly necessary.

But wait a minute – is that truly the best way to go about things for all cases? Take content managed websites for example : feature-rich websites, with strict security prerequisites, a control panel so the website proprietor can update the content on the site. All these demands, while demanding the website to be painless to use and buy products for website visitors. Responding to all those requirements is no trivial task, and if a bug or other problem takes place, you have to go back to the web designer to ask for fixes. Custom websites in this light are burdened with so much to consider.

All the same, there’s another choice to this method which is far more money saving, can give you a lot more features, and provides more stability, reliability and security – web templates.

People acknowledge today that tailor-made websites frequently aren’t necessary and that in a lot of cases, it’s best to adjust your goals even ever-so slightly so they meet a solid, proven website template than it is to chance with a custom-built web design to match your goals. Why? Due to the demands a contemporary website asks for. You want a robust, tried and tested codebase that powers your website, not freshly written code that hasn’t been tested. Not just that, but templates usually are updated often and these updates patched to your website, so your site is keeping up with all the ongoing technologies showing your latest tweets online.

But maybe the greatest selling point is this however: website templates are far cheaper than custom-built websites. Why would you drop £2000 on a site when you can get a ste with many more facilities for only £600, for instance?

These reasons should make you think twice about your business plan and whether to opt for a website template or go for a tailor-made website.

Technology in the 21st century has made life much easier to bear. Everything can be done with a mere touch of a button, whether the item is sitting right in front of us or some ten feet away. With such modern conveniences, is there any real time to get some real exercise done, or is mashing buttons the only exercise we get to build up finger strength?

Home exercise equipment is the next best thing for the health-conscious individual who could never seem to find time to work out in a gym. Unlike the equipment used by gyms in the city, home exercise equipment is easy to use, a little more compact, and requires little maintenance. Sometimes, newer models of home exercise equipment in the market are designed to work on multiple parts of the body to work on for that ever-impressionable fit form.

Choosing the correct home exercise equipment can be a little tricky at times, though shopping channels have been endorsing numerous designs that would seem easier to use as well as to store away. A majority of home exercise equipment buyers would prefer a treadmill, the very equipment that has stirred the home exercise equipment manufacturers since the bench press. Sometimes, a consumer would go out of his or her way just to be pummeled with a barrage of people saying that their brand is the best, or sturdiest, or even simplest to use. So where does the comparing begins once a consumer finally decides?

The best way, and usually the most assuring is to ask a local gym instructor on which home exercise equipment to choose. Sometimes, he or she would recommend the correct type depending on your current muscle tone and frame. There are times that a consumer would have to go though a budget and resort in purchasing used home exercise equipment. Make sure that the frame and structure is still in good condition with minimal to no rust forming at the welded areas and you can always repaint the scratched areas to make it look brand new. If the equipment suffered from irreparable damage, like broken gauges and loose wiring from a treadmill for instance, ask your local gym instructor and see if he can repair it for you. Sometimes, welding is often needed in sections of the home exercise equipment when the joints are unstable. This applies especially in bench press tables that accidents often occur when the support bar can not hold the barbell and would result to serious injury and almost certainty of death.

Whatever kind of home exercise equipment you choose, it is very important to know how much exercise you can get out of it to get that eye-pleasing form that you want to achieve this summer.

Raindrop Technique is a procedure for applying therapeutic grade essential oils to the feet, back and spine. It is a form of aromatherapy. Raindrop icorporates certain Native American concepts, including a special form of massage called “feather stroking” which is simular to a massage technique called “effeurage”.

Another aspect of Raindrop is “Vita Flex,” a therapeutic maneuver adapted from Oriental acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology. The term “Vita Flex,” meaning “vitality through the reflexes,” was coined by Stanley Burroughs, who studied Oriental Medicine and brought the technique to the West.

During portions of the Raindrop procedure, therapeutic grade essential oils are dropped neat (undiluted) on the back along the spine from a height of about six inches. The techniques of Raindrop performed with non-therapeutic grade essential oils is not a true representation of the method.

The theory of dropping the oils in this manner is that the oils, which are said to possess electromagnetic properties, are allowed to fall through the electromagnetic field of the receiver before touching the skin. Thus the oils are thought to interact with the receiver’s electric fields in a possibly beneficial way before being absorbed by the body through the skin

This technique is used with various holistc modalities, supporting the immune system, relieving tension, increasing energy, supporting balanced metabolism, and general wellness enhancement.

We all know the general rules of the gym: don’t drop the weights, wipe your sweat off the machines when you’re done, etc. But do you know all about the more “colorful”, lesser known rules of the gym?

NOTE: These rules are JOKES! If you ever see any of these rules posted at any gym you ever go to, please take a picture for me!

1. Don’t blow your nose in the water fountain.

This is a crude habit and can contribute to the spread of colds and viruses. Besides, that’s what the gym towels are for…

2. No smoking on the cardio machines.

Those little circular spots are water-bottle holders, not ashtrays. If you need a cigarette that badly when you’re working out, tape one to the pulldown bar and take a drag on it as a reward for each rep you do.

3. When spotting someone on bench press, be sure to wipe your face first.

You are not a stalactite, and dripping sweat into someone’s eye is not a good way to make friends.

4. If you choose to wear cologne or perfume to the gym, please don’t marinate in it.

If the person on the stair machine next to you lights up a cigarette, you could both be seriously injured.

5. Those stands that have all the weight plates on them should not be used for holding your donuts.

Your donuts will end up with a terrible metallic taste that even the coffee in your water bottle won’t be able to get out of your mouth.

6. The Crunch Machine is not a vending machine for candy bars.

Please don’t try to put money into this machine. It’s for working your abdominals. You will never, EVER get a Nestle’s Crunch bar out of it.

7. Even though the gym has stair machines, it is not required by law to have elevator machines.

Please stop asking about this at the reception desk.

8. Pick up after your dog when you walk him on the treadmill.

No explanation necessary.

9. If you have a habit of spraying spit when you lift, ensure there is no one in your target area.

It’s bad enough that the mirrors by the squat rack look like a St. Bernard shook himself in front of them.

10. Do not give yourself C.P.R. when doing bench presses.

Bouncing the bar heavily off your ribcage instead of pressing it properly may cause damage to the bar and voids the warranty on the bench. Besides that, you don’t want your spotter feeling as though he’s dribbling a barbell down the court do you?

11. Beer and/or liquor in your water bottle are prohibited.

Unless, of course, you bring enough for everybody. This also goes for mochaccinos, frappaccinos, and anything with an umbrella in it.

12. Use the rowing machine at your own risk.

If it sinks, there are no lifeguards on duty.

Following these rules to the best of your ability will ensure a pleasant exercise experience for everyone.

Thank you.

1. How hard is it to get used to wearing contact lenses?

Everybody adjusts to wearing contact lenses differently. How long it takes for a person’s eyes adjust to wearing contact lenses varies and depends on the sensitivity of the eyes and also on the type of contact lenses being worn. Typically it will take from one day up to about two weeks.

2. How do you take care of contact lenses?

Proper care of contact lenses varies depending on the type prescribed. Disposable and extended wear brands are simply thrown away after they are used. Soft contact lenses and gas permeable lenses require more care to ensure longevity and to protect against infecting the eyes.

3. Do you have to be a certain age to wear contact lenses?

Age does not matter as long as the person wearing contact lenses can responsibly care for them. If not cared for properly, contact lenses can become damaged or lost, and they can become infected and cause serious injury to the eyes. Parents should be part of the decision making process.

4. Is it possible for contact lenses to become lost inside the eye?

This is highly unlikely. A contact lens can get stuck under the eyelid, making it difficult to find. If you have trouble locating your contact lenses, your eye doctor can help.

5. What is the difference between daily wear and extended wear contact lenses?

Daily wear lenses are inserted into the eye and removed each day. Extended wear contact lenses are made from different materials and allow more oxygen to reach the eye. Because of this, extended wear contact lens can safely be worn between seven to thirty days before removing, depending on the brand.

6. How do you purchase contact lenses?

Before you can purchase prescription contact lenses, you must get an eye exam and then have the eye doctor write out a prescription. You can get the prescription filled at many places, including retail outlets, doctors’ offices and the Internet.

7. Besides daily and extended wear lenses, are other types of contact lenses available?

There are other types of contact lenses available including different colored contact lenses, bifocal contact lenses and lenses for astigmatism, contact lenses that block UV rays, special effect lenses, and more.

8. How will I know which type of contact lenses are best for my needs?

Your eye doctor can assist you in determining the contact lenses that are right for your eyes and for your lifestyle.

9. Are disposable contact lenses as good as daily wear contact lenses?

Yes, disposable contact lenses are just as good as daily wear. In fact, because of their shorter life cycles, they can be safer for the eyes because there is less opportunity for bacteria to develop and grow on the contact lenses. This decreases the chances for developing an eye infection.

10. After I get contact lenses, are follow-u p visits to the eye doctor required?

If you’re new to wearing contact lenses, the eye doctor likely will recommend that you return after the first week of wearing the contact lenses. The doctor will make sure that the contact lenses are fitting properly and that they are being properly cared for. You should get reexamined for contact lenses every one to two years as well.

According to the “Handbook of Medicinal Herbs,” black elderberry leaves were touted by European herbalists to be pain relieving and to promote healing of injuries when applied as a poultice.

Native American herbalists used the plant for infections, coughs, and skin conditions.

Black elderberry is a plant that grows primarily in Europe and North America. It’s a natural remedy with three flavonoids that have antiviral properties. Flavonoids are very effective against different strains of influenza virus. Black elderberry also has other compounds, called anthocyanins, which have an anti-inflammatory effect, thus reducing aches and pains.

A popular brand is Sambucol. Sambucol has been shown to be effective in vitro against 10 strains of influenza virus.

Studies have demonstrated that Sambucol formulations activate the healthy immune system by increasing inflammatory cytokine production, which mediates the viral load in the human system.

On average, flu patients given Sambucol recovered in 3.1 days compared to 7.1 days for those given placebo, and there are no known side effects.

A prominent Israeli virologist, and developer of the Sambucol extract, Dr. Dr. Madeleine Mumcuoglu said “Sambucol is one of our best treatments for the flu, especially when taken at first sign of symptoms. Flu viruses are covered by tiny protein spikes of hemagglutinin, which they use to attach to, and infect, healthy human cells,” she says. “While working on my doctoral thesis we isolated key active substances within black elderberry that disarm hemagglutinin and thus stop the first step of viral invasion.”

Sambucol syrup seems very safe for children and adults as a treatment, not a preventative, against influenza.

People who walk daily have a lesser incidence of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other killer diseases. Not only does walking make you healthier but it also burns calories, creates psychological well being, increases metabolism, strengthens muscles, increases flexibility, improves respiratory function and helps concentration and memory.

This should give you plenty of reasons to try and walk a little each and every day. Besides that, simple physical inactivity is one of the leading causes of ill health.

Walking not only benefits you but it also benefits the Earth. By learning to walk rather than driving a car you are doing your part to help the environment by not releasing toxins into the air, which hurts the long-term stability of the planet. A short four-mile trip you take walking keeps about fifteen pounds of pollutants out of the air we breathe.

Walking also saves you money on gas and other expenses associated with your vehicle. Every time you start your car it costs you about five cents considering current gas prices. Needless to say driving anywhere adds to this enormously. Yet, most people still use their vehicles to make short trips, which could easily be made by walking. If you can even make the simple choice to walk once a week when you would normally drive you will go a long way toward making a difference both in your pocket book as well as in your life.

Walking is also a stress reducer. Stress has been proven to contribute more than any other factor to the reduction of longetivity. Walking can help reduce that stress and increase your longetivity.

One of the primary reasons people decide to walk is to lose pounds.

There are some simple formulas you can use to determine how many calories are being burned according to your weight and how fast you are walking.

3.0 miles/hour (20-minute mile): Burns .027 calories/pound/minute.

3.5 miles/hour (17 minute mile): Burns .033 calories/pound/minute.

4.0 miles/hour (15 minute mile): Burns .042 calories/pound/minute.

4.5 miles/hour (13 minute mile): Burns .047 calories/pound/minute.

Take the number of calories/pound/minute you burn and multiply it by your weight and then by the number of minutes you walk.

For example, if you weigh 150 pounds and walk a 20-minute mile for 60 minutes, you multiply 150 by .027, then multiple the result (4.5) by 60. You burn 270 calories.

It is important that when you do walk that you walk at a moderate pace. Walking will do you no good if it is so leisurely that you exert no effort. A good walk should leave you moderately perspired. This ensures that you are working at an ideal intensity.

Walking is a habit like anything else. If you can create a habit of walking everyday it will contribute to a new and healthy you in the long term.

Responsibility:

What you may ask, does responsibility have in common with fitness, weight loss, and nutrition?

Everything, it all starts with personal responsibility.

We have somehow become a society that is not responsible for ourselves. Numerous examples from the past few years abound:

Someone drives away with a cup of coffee, spills it; it’s the restaurant’s fault. Over 60% of us are overweight; it’s the fast food industry’s fault. Prescription drugs have moved up to the number 4 killer in the United States, it’s the drug industries fault. (although we take them) Most recently a doctor tells an obese person to lose weight or die He’s insensitive.

The list goes on and on. What we seem to have lost sight of is, it really doesn’t matter who is at fault, if we are overweight, unhealthy, and die prematurely, we lose no matter who caused it.

We have simply got to become more aware of our environment, what is causing the obesity issues today, and take personal responsibility to resolve those issues on a personal level.

The diet and drug industries are counting on you doing just the opposite. They are selling over $35 Billion per year in diet supplements, diet drugs, diet foods, and numerous other products. They obviously aren’t working because obesity in America has increased 20% in the last decade.

The stuff doesn’t work but it is profitable.

There really is no secret pill. You need to understand the body’s caloric requirement at your current fitness level to maintain your current weight. You then eat less and exercise more to burn calories to reduce weight. Any calories we take in that are not burned are stored as fat.

It doesn’t matter what pill you take, what you inject into your body, or how much expensive prepared food you eat, sooner or later it comes down to logic and numbers.

The body was not designed to run on a single kind of fuel, be it fat, carbs whatever. We need a varied diet to regenerate our bodies and remain healthy.

We simply refuse to accept that fact. In my books “Living to be Younger” and “Living Better”, I cover these subjects in detail. There are no false claims and wild promises. You learn exactly why losing 30 pounds in 30 days is not only nonsense it’s unhealthy.

Stop wasting time and money chasing a magic bullet solution. If there was one, we’d all be the ideal weight.

Take responsibility for your health and wellness and become an Educated consumer. Learn what your body needs, how to provide it properly and naturally and take charge of your life.

When our bodies first came into the world from the original designer do you Think they were meant to need diet pills, shots, or expensive processed foods?

Of course not they need a varied diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, and we need to Move them around some.
